Yo girl may or may not have rolled up to a pumpkin patch the day before it closed. No shame.
Anyway, I wanted to make sure I made it to one this year because I wasn’t feeling very fall and because I actually wanted to buy pumpkins! That great big one you see up there is Cecilia and she is currently guarding my dorm. She was also a beast to carry, and my arms were so sore. I should have grabbed a wagon to lug her along but I was about to leave anyway.
If the backdrop of these last few photos looks familiar to you at all, it’s because I did an outfit shoot here last year as well! However, when we went last year it was like 80 degrees. Not 40 degrees. We didn’t make it into the corn maze this time, but I didn’t mind too much since I found my pumpkins and I was cold enough already.
About the outfit though:
My inspiration for this outfit came from Veronica in Riverdale. I binged watched all the new episodes from this season a couple days before my pumpkin patch excursion so I was feeling the preppy vibe. That girl knows how to dress! The whole time watching it I was thinking to myself, “I need to step up my outfit game.”
Houndstooth is a great pattern for anyone trying to add a little more class and preppiness to an outfit. I actually got this skirt from Forever 21, but it’s sold out already. I went ahead and linked two similar skirts below. One is longer than mine and around the same price point I got mine, and the other looks exactly the same but it a bit more expensive.
Adding the pearl bracelet my grandma gave me years ago was the perfect touch! If I had a pearl necklace I totally would have thrown that on instead of the Kida necklace, but I love the vintage look of this one.
