Similar sweater // Similar plaid shirt // Vest // Jeans // Similar socks // Boots // Bow Earrings

The holidays are coming! And you know what that means? Red and green everything!! I ain’t mad about it because those are two of my favorite colors.

Gold and silver are also popular holiday colors, but I think gold is the most deserving of its popularity. That’s why I look for pieces with gold details like this gorgeous vest from Francesca’s and these bow earrings! I want this vest in every color! It’s awesome because the pockets for your hands aren’t awkwardly placed and then they have double pockets for your phone, ID, lipstick, keys, or whatever else you want to keep close to you!

I started wearing button-ups under sweaters in high school, and I’m so glad I did. That extra layer helps to keep you so much warmer than just a sweater! And adding the vest makes it even cozier. You could also add a scarf if it’s actually freezing outside, too.

Also, can we talk about these earrings? I got them a couple years ago on impulse, and I am so glad I did! They always add the right amount of festivity to any outfit, and always get compliments!

Do you ever layer button ups and sweaters? Do you prefer silver or gold for the holidays? What clothing pieces scream Christmas to you? Let me know in the comments below!
